Our new “Faith & Fiction” book club met on October 26 for a lively discussion of Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. Not your cup of tea? Our goal is to read a variety of genres that tackle life’s big and small questions through the lens of faith.
We will be reading Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler for our November 30 meeting. Parable of the Sower is a speculative fiction novel set in a post apocalyptic earth heavily affected by climate change and social inequality. The book follows a young woman forced to flee her home and, as she attempts to travel north to safety, conceives a revolutionary idea to save all mankind. Looking ahead, the book club will not meet during the month of December. We will resume on January 25 at 8:30 AM.
